Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis McLay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLay has chosen "The Party Song" by Blink 182 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Low!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis McLay!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from McLay.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

McLay closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Low quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McLay is working Low over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Low wants to sweep here but McLay controlling him for the moment.

Low has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McLay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McLay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Low swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Low is looking to improve his position but McLay isn't that keen on the idea.

McLay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Low manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Low is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on McLay's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

McLay is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Low is not content to let McLay control the position.

Low wants to control but McLay is keeping busy.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



McLay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Low's guard.
Low wants to stand up but McLay is controlling him.
McLay trying to control but Low is working from the bottom.
Low trying to keep a closed guard but McLay is proving a slippery customer.
Low avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

McLay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McLay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Low is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McLay is controlling him.
McLay passes Low's left leg - he's now in half guard.
McLay is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Low!

Low is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
McLay lands a heavy elbow.
Low is in a horrible position here. McLay smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Low working to try and regain half guard.
McLay is landing with some decent strikes but Low is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The referee warns Low that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

McLay with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

McLay fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Low is trying desperately to improve position.
Low tries to hold on but McLay pushes him away.

McLay wants to finish this one by submission but Low is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McLay.

McLay working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Low turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips McLay off and cradles Low's limp body as McLay celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lewis McLay!
