The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Toivo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Manhoef misses with a left hand
and Toivo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Toivo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Manhoef tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Toivo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manhoef.
Toivo scores with a head kick. Manhoef tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Melvin Manhoef has been cut.
Manhoef moves out of range of the body kick.

A jab lands there for Manhoef.
Toivo misses with a hook.
Nice body kick from Toivo.
Toivo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A solid leg kick lands there for Toivo.
Manhoef is breathing heavily.

Toivo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

A head kick from Toivo lands but Manhoef takes it in his stride.

Toivo connects with a high kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Toivo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Toivo thows a body kick. Manhoef tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Manhoef on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Manhoef walks forward, straight into a front kick from Toivo.
A head kick misses from Toivo.
Manhoef on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Toivo. Toivo obviously looking to wear him down.
Toivo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Manhoef takes a kick to the side of the head.

Melvin Manhoef's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manhoef closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Jeez, Melvin Manhoef's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Toivo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Manhoef. That did some damage!
Toivo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Toivo lands a big head kick that sends Manhoef tumbling to the mat! Toivo takes a step backwards and waves Manhoef back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Melvin Manhoef's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
