Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Van (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Finn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finn is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Theme From Jaws. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van misses with a takedown attempt - Finn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A punch combination from Van misses.
Finn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Van.
Finn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Van.

It looks like Shane Finn has been cut.
Van throws a shot from downtown. Finn moves away and avoids it.
Finn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Van. That did some damage!
Finn misses with a straight left.
Finn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Van throws a poor cross that misses
and Finn makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Van really felt that one!
Van is breathing heavily.
Finn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Finn looks to score with a jab to the body but Van is just out of range.
Finn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Van throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Finn counters with a straight right hand.
Van shoots in and drives through. Finn sprawls well.
No joy there for Finn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good leg kick by Finn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud. Some wild striking there from Finn.
Finn checks the leg kick nicely there.
Van tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Finn swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Van. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Finn throws a front kick that sends Van stumbling back into the cage.
Finn is still on wobbly legs! Can Van finish him?
A combination from Van does no damage.
Finn tries to land a front kick but Van steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Van swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Van fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Finn square on the jaw! Damn, Finn is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
