Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Rudirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fabolous, 50cent, Mase - Breathe Remix. Rudirez has chosen Turbonegro "Prince Of The Rodeo" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudirez moves out of range as Power throws a body kick.
Good leg kick by Rudirez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Rudirez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Power throws a big shot that misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Power.
Power throws a low kick but Rudirez moves out of range easily.
Rudirez jabs Power to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Power feints a jab promting Rudirez to slip. Power then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rudirez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Power throws out a loose jab but Rudirez uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Power counters with a shoot takedown. Rudirez fights it but they end up in guard.
Rudirez pulls Power in close to prevent any damage.
Power wants to pass the guard but Rudirez is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rudirez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Power is aware though and is defending well.

Rudirez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Power stacks Rudirez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Power!

Rudirez wants to control but Power postures up.
Rudirez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rudirez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Power seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rudirez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marco Rudirez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rudirez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Power paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rudirez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Rudirez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Rudirez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Power looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rudirez is fending him off so far but Power persists. Nope, Rudirez circles away and we're back to standing.
Power takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Power changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rudirez tries to avoid it but Power manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rudirez to the ground. Rudirez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Power is looking to wear down Rudirez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Power shoots in looking for a takedown. Rudirez tries to sprawl out of it but Power keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rudirez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
