Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tappin Datass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Van Dyck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tappin Datass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Augustus Van Dyck!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Dyck scores with a hook to the body. Datass takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Datass avoids the head kick by Van Dyck.

Datass shoots in and bounces Van Dyck off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Datass controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Datass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Datass trying to control but Van Dyck is working from the bottom.
Datass is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Van Dyck is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Van Dyck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Datass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Datass is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Van Dyck is just riding it out for now. Datass eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Datass jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Van Dyck is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Van Dyck and Datass has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Datass misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Datass wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Dyck keeps working.

Datass is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Van Dyck knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Datass thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Datass swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Van Dyck is now in Datass's guard. A big mistake from Datass there, giving up the dominant position!

Datass lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Van Dyck!

Datass has control of Van Dyck's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Van Dyck regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Tappin Datass showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Datass, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
