Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Calliente!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cheezus Jones!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calliente has his takedown stuffed
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones misses with a hook.

Calliente shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jones sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
Calliente moves nicely into side control.
Calliente trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Calliente wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jones defending against the ground and pound.

Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jones stops Calliente from passing to mount.
Calliente sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jones is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Calliente tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
Calliente is trying to ground and pound but Jones uses the momentary lack of control by Calliente to regain half guard.
Nice strikes from Calliente there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Calliente not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Calliente not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Calliente seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Calliente works his way into full mount!
Calliente has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Calliente landing shots from mount.
Calliente thowing shots but they're missing.
Calliente tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Calliente scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Jones is rocked!
Calliente postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Jones out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Calliente goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
