The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yokohama gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Dawkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Yokohama has an active guard here but Dawkins has managed to pass into half guard.

Yokohama is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dawkins pulls his head out easily.

Yokohama is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dawkins scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dawkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dawkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A lull in the action here as Dawkins stalls from top position.
Yokohama tries to buck Dawkins off but Dawkins is having none of it.

Yokohama looks to move to half guard but instead Dawkins has passed into mount! Damn!

Sanji Yokohama's cut is getting worse.
Dawkins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Yokohama is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dawkins is working for a guillotine from mount but Yokohama frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yokohama seems to have got his legs back now.
Let's hope that Dawkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Dawkins breaks from Yokohama's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Jeez, Sanji Yokohama's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sanji Yokohama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
