PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Franzelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcu Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franzelius comes into the arena with Madball - Infiltrate the System blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Webb tries to sprawl but Franzelius drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Franzelius will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Franzelius throws a strike but Webb avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Franzelius throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Webb works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Webb avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcu Webb hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Franzelius counters with a shoot takedown. Webb fights it but they end up in guard.

Webb controls Franzelius momentarily but Franzelius frees himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Franzelius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Webb swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Marcu Webb has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Webb lands with a hook. Franzelius tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Webb fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Franzelius, pushing him back against the cage.

Webb tries to free his leg and advance position but Franzelius is retaining full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Franzelius closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Webb did well to prevent Franzelius getting side control.

Webb manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Webb, under a barage of strikes from Franzelius.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stefan Franzelius will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Franzelius is looking to advance position but Webb has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Webb can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Franzelius is looking to escape.

Webb might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Franzelius kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

I would just about give that final round to Marcu Webb.
