The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Harris counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Harris looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.

Harris clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Harris prevents a takedown attempt there.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva darts in and clinches Harris up against the cage.

Silva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Harris wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harris is one step ahead there.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.
Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harris!
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harris's face.
Harris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harris has given up his back here. Will Silva look for the submission or keep pounding away?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
