Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Vass Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Rimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Tim Rimmer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Vass Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Rimmer!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rimmer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rimmer tries to pass to full mount but Vass Jr defends it.
Vass Jr pushes Rimmer off looking to stand but Rimmer dives back in and keeps control.
Rimmer with the ground and pound but Vass Jr uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Rimmer sitting in guard here, content to control.
Rimmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vass Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rimmer stops Vass Jr from standing up.
Rimmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Vass Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rimmer won't allow Vass Jr to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tim Rimmer was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Vass Jr tries to sprawl but Rimmer drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Vass Jr is looking to improve his position.
Rimmer trying to pass the guard but Vass Jr defending well.
Rimmer working over Vass Jr with some ground and pound. Vass Jr looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Vass Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rimmer is working away from the top position though.
Vass Jr is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rimmer scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rimmer working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Vass Jr's thigh. Vass Jr counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Rimmer wants to pass the guard but Vass Jr is keeping the position.

Vass Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rimmer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rimmer looking to sit in guard and control but Vass Jr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rimmer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vass Jr!

Vass Jr wants to control but Rimmer is having none of it.
Rimmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vass Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rimmer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vass Jr's face.
The referee warns Vass Jr that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vass Jr bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Rimmer counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Rimmer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vass Jr makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vass Jr.

Rimmer wants to control from the top but Vass Jr keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tim Rimmer wasn't active enough on the ground.
A head kick by Rimmer misses
and Vass Jr counters with a left and a right that stings Rimmer.

Rimmer clinches up against the cage.
Vass Jr working aggressively here.

Rimmer has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Vass Jr is trying to keep an underhook but Rimmer manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Rimmer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Vass Jr regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Rimmer.
Vass Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Vass Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tim Rimmer has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vass Jr is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Nick Vass Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rimmer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vass Jr's guard.

Vass Jr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rimmer manages to get himself to full guard.

Rimmer pushes Vass Jr off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rimmer is breathing heavily.
Vass Jr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Rimmer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Vass Jr wants to sweep here but Rimmer controlling him for the moment.
Vass Jr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nick Vass Jr.

Rimmer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vass Jr's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rimmer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rimmer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vass Jr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rimmer, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Rimmer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Vass Jr closes the distance looking to clinch

and Rimmer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vass Jr's guard.
Rimmer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rimmer postures up and lands a big shot to Vass Jr's brow.
Rimmer trying to control but Vass Jr is working from the bottom.
Rimmer throws and elbow that misses. Vass Jr uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rimmer's guard. Nice move by Vass Jr!
Rimmer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Rimmer is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Vass Jr has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Rimmer taps out instantly and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nick Vass Jr!
