Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - The Mystery Of Chessboxin. Rolls Gracie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eddie Penn's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with the combination.
Penn throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
Gracie misses with a right hand

and Penn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that.
Gracie is trying to improve his position.
Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Penn is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Penn's guard.

Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gracie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Penn has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Penn in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Penn tries to score with some ground and pound. Gracie controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gracie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Penn counters with a right hand to the body.
Gracie misses the shot to the body.
Penn looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Penn keeps Gracie at a distance using the push kick.
Penn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.
Gracie takes one on the button.

Penn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Penn is now in Gracie's guard.
Penn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gracie tries to reverse the position but Penn maintains control.

Penn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gracie has worked his arm free - good work by Gracie!

Penn wants to control the pace but Gracie is squirming around nicely.

Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Penn has a good base and remains in mount.
Penn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Penn tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
Penn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Penn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gracie is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gracie and Penn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Penn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Penn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Gracie throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Penn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Penn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Penn manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Penn dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Penn! Gracie is hurt baaadly! Penn is firing away with more strikes - Gracie is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
