The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer stalks Villar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Villar's face. Villar staggers backwards, shaken.
Boxer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Boxer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Villar to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Villar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boxer's head.
Boxer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Villar passes Boxer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Villar throwing shots but Boxer is blocking nicely.
Villar is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Boxer is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
