Rubens Charles looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Charles shoots and misses
and Slick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Charles is looking to take a break and control but Slick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slick can do anything to dispel that myth.

Slick thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Charles's head.
Slick thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Charles to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Slick had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Charles defends it easily.

Slick has his foot on Charles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Charles works his way back into a safe position though.

Charles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
