The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liio shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stone counters with a takedown into side control.
Stone fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Stone looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Liio is avoiding damage well.
Stone working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Stone with the ground and pound but Liio regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Liio's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stone lands a nice short elbow.

Liio is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.
Stone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Stone throws a strike but Liio rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Liio drops back looking for a leg! Stone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stone manages to kick Liio off! Liio jumps back into Stone's guard.
Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stone pulls Liio in close to prevent any damage.

Liio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stone manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stone raining down hammerfists from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Stone counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Liio!
