Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Kazama!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama shoots in but Doyle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doyle looks to land a left hand but Kazama moved out of range nicely.
Kazama misses with a looping right.
Doyle cracks Kazama with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Doyle ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Doyle moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Kazama goes down! Can Doyle finish him!?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Kazama might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Conor Doyle wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kazama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doyle misses the shot to the body.
Doyle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kazama throws out the jab.
Kazama misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kazama doesn't manage to clinch there - Doyle circles away.

and Doyle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kazama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Doyle pinned against the cage. Doyle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Doyle counters with a right hand that sends Kazama tumbling to the canvas! Can Doyle finish him? He dives into Kazama's guard looking to do just that!

Doyle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doyle throws and elbow that misses. Kazama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doyle's guard. Nice move by Kazama!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Doyle keeps the fight on the outside.
Kazama shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Doyle as he avoids it easily.

Doyle lands a nice looking body shot.
Doyle walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kazama checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kazama is breathing heavily.

Doyle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Doyle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Doyle cracks a nice hook into Kazama's ribs.
Conor Doyle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Doyle lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kazama at a distance.
Doyle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kazama looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Doyle jabs Kazama to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A combination from Doyle does no damage.
Doyle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kazama doesn't seem bothered though.
Doyle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Doyle tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kazama is able to avoid easily.

and Doyle counters with a three punch combo that has Kazama backing up. Kazama nods at Doyle to acknowledge the strikes.

Doyle drops Kazama with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kazama! Doyle dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
