PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franz Metro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonidus Cesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metro's entrance music is I Walk Alone. A fine choice. Leonidus Cesar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Franz Metro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonidus Cesar!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesar dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Metro is breathing heavily.
Cesar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Metro dives in and grabs Cesar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cesar pushes down on Metro's head and hops out.
Metro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cesar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sloppy strikes from Cesar. Those never looked like landing.

and Cesar makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franz Metro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cesar throws a sloppy head kick and Metro moves out of range easily.
Metro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Metro wants it to stay on the feet.
Cesar shoots for a double leg takedown but Metro sprawls well. He's pushed Cesar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cesar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cesar drops back looking for a leg! Metro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Metro manages to kick Cesar off! Cesar jumps back into Metro's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cesar drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cesar seems to have locked his on tight now - Metro screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cesar, as he picks up the win!
