The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klitschko misses with a hook
and Ya Down counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ya Down throws a leg kick that is checked
and Klitschko counters with a left to the body.
Ya Down bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Klitschko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ya Down.
Klitschko throws a jab when Ya Down was well out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ya Down. Klitschko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Taken Ya Down seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Klitschko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Klitschko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ya Down has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Klitschko throws a hook to the side of Ya Down's head but Ya Down sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Klitschko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ya Down's calf.

Ya Down shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ya Down remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Klitschko can't do much from the bottom here.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Klitschko looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out!
