Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryuu Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginger Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi comes to the cage accompanied by On The Dub-ble. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ginger Mann!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann swings for the body but Takeshi moves out of range.
Mann throws a lazy uppercut
and Takeshi counters with a nice leg kick.
Mann has managed to clinch.
Mann can't break the clinch.
Mann avoiding damage as Takeshi throws knees to the body.
Mann throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mann wants to break free but Takeshi has control.
Takeshi lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Takeshi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Mann wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mann manages to break the clinch.
Mann misses with the combination.
Mann throws a low kick but Takeshi avoids it.
Takeshi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

and Takeshi counters with a slapping leg kick.
Ginger Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mann keeps the fight on the outside.
Mann thows a body shot but no joy.
A big left from Takeshi misses.
Mann connects with a single shot there.
Mann throws a left and a right that both miss
and Takeshi counters with a good low kick that Mann was not able to check.
A left lands for Takeshi.

Takeshi lands a really nice looking cross but Mann seems unphased.
Takeshi darts in and clinches Mann up against the cage.
Mann looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Takeshi throws a head punch that misses.

Mann blocking some punches.
Takeshi scores a nice knee to the body.
Mann looks gassed!
Mann is trying to break the clinch but Takeshi has him pressed against the cage.
Takeshi lands a shoulder strike.

Mann tries to circle away but Takeshi has him pinned against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mann takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Ginger Mann has been cut.
Takeshi lands with a short shot to the head.
Mann blocks an elbow strike from Takeshi.
The referee is keeping an eye on Takeshi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Mann looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Takeshi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Takeshi obliges.
Takeshi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mann is defending well for now.

Takeshi is pushing Mann up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Takeshi scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Mann is rocked!
Takeshi lands a big knee to the head and Mann goes down! Takeshi pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryuu Takeshi!
