The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guti throws a right hand that Vilatki ducks under and follows up with a left that Vilatki also avoids with ease.
Guti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vilatki swivels and escapes.
Guti throws a right and a left that Vilatki avoids nicely.
Vilatki lands with a kick to the ribs.

Vilatki darts in and clinches Guti up against the cage.

Vilatki turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vilatki manages to end up in side control.

Vilatki has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Guti throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vilatki's waist but Vilatki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guti off to one side.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Vilatki jumps guard and drags Guti to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Guti is looking to stand up but Vilatki won't let him.

Guti is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vilatki is just riding it out for now. Guti eventually gives up the hold.
Vilatki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guti on the ground.

Guti is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vilatki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guti.

Vilatki jumps guard but Guti stands there with Vilatki around his waist. Vilatki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Vilatki wants the takedown. Guti is fighting it off but Vilatki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Guti's guard against the cage.

Guti goes for a takedown attempt but Vilatki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Guti changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vilatki fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Dag Guti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vilatki fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Guti.

Vilatki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Guti uses from the top position.

Vilatki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guti sprawls well initially but Vilatki persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Guti wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vilatki, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guti throws a combination that misses

and Vilatki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Vladamir Vilatki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
You can see the frustration on Guti's face as Vilatki controls the position.
Vilatki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
