Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaze Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West's entrance music is Batman TV Show Theme Song. A fine choice. Hastings comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blazin Hazen - Avarage Homeboy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Blaze Hastings!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hastings changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. West looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hastings wants to lay and pray for a moment but West keeps working.
West prevents Hastings from moving into mount.

Hastings is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hastings looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hastings throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Hastings is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but West is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
West managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hastings.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hastings has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for West!

Hastings jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… West is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by West and Hastings has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hastings working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hastings postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hastings is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
West pushes Hastings away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hastings gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hastings looking to punish the body of his opponent here but West is avoiding damage well.
West prevents Hastings from moving into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hastings postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hastings laying and praying for a moment but West takes advantage and regains half guard.
Hastings is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Hastings seems to be looking for submissions.
Hastings thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
West won't allow Hastings to pass to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hastings working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on West's thigh. West counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hastings throws and elbow that misses. West uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hastings's guard. Nice move by West!
Hastings looking for a sweep. Not yet Hastings, not yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


West throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hastings shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
West misses with a combination

and Hastings counters with a nice double leg into side control. West won't be happy with that.
West tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hastings wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hastings wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by West, who protects the arm well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
West controlling the position for now.
West tries to kick Hastings off but Hastings keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hastings is trying to work for a kimura but West is defending well.

Hastings is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hastings is trying to control the action in half guard but West is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hastings frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
West stops Hastings from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Hastings swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and West is now in Hastings's guard. A big mistake from Hastings there, giving up the dominant position!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hastings manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hastings is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hastings wants to sweep here but West controlling him for the moment.

Hastings has an active guard here but West has managed to pass into half guard.

Blaze Hastings showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Adam West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blaze Hastings.
Hastings takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
West lands a head kick!
Hastings takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hastings shoots and misses

West on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hastings keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Adam West has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Adam West showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hastings has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
