The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matt goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Redman lands a jab.
Redman clobbers Matt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Redman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Redman moves forwards but Matt connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Matt misses with a left hand
and Redman counters with a nice uppercut.
Matt tries for a takedown but Redman circles away easily
and Redman counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Redman misses with a hook
and Matt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Matt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Redman lands a nice shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matt.
Stuart Redman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poor Matt.
Matt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Redman counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Redman.

Matt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Poor Matt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matt on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Matt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Redman fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Matt square on the jaw! Damn, Matt is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
