The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jensen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Melendez closes the distance but Jensen moves to the side
and Jensen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Melendez misses with a takedown attempt
and Jensen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Horrible takedown by Melendez or perhaps it was just good defense by Jensen which made him look bad.
Jensen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Melendez has his takedown stuffed
and Jensen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
