Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tre Tanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenardo Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez has chosen I Will Be Heard as his entrance music. Glenardo Gonzalez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glenardo Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez feints and as Tanks raises his hands in defense, Gonzalez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gonzalez won't allow Tanks to get back to his feet.
Tanks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gonzalez is one step ahead there.
Tanks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gonzalez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tanks defends it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tanks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gonzalez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tanks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gonzalez's back instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tanks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
