Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deli Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demy De Bruin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Bruin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by El Guapo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez wants to clinch but De Bruin slips to the side
and De Bruin counters with a big head kick but Lopez shrugs it off.

A nice glancing elbow lands by De Bruin.
Lopez drops down looking for an ankle pick but De Bruin pulls his leg out and moves away.

De Bruin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Bruin tries to advance to mount but can't.
Lopez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
De Bruin is looking to advance position but Lopez won't allow it.

De Bruin is stalling here. Lopez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! De Bruin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lopez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

and De Bruin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lopez's guard now.
Lopez wants to sweep here but De Bruin controlling him for the moment.
De Bruin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
De Bruin is looking to stand up but Lopez won't let him.

Lopez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but De Bruin manages to avoid the submission attempt.

De Bruin doesn't have the hooks in and Lopez manages to turn into his guard.

De Bruin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lopez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lopez wants to control but De Bruin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

De Bruin thows an elbow strike that misses. Lopez gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. De Bruin doesn't seem too bothered but Lopez quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! De Bruin is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! De Bruin really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
