Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nobutaka Hiyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edvin Wasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiyoshi's entrance music is Baka Survivor . A fine choice. Wasa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: .. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edvin Wasa!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiyoshi thows a body shot but no joy.
Nobutaka Hiyoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wasa takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Wasa misses with a double jab
and Hiyoshi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hiyoshi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wasa.
Hiyoshi thows a body shot but no joy.
Wasa on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice body punch from Hiyoshi.
Hiyoshi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wasa.
Wasa throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Hiyoshi to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hiyoshi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wasa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Nobutaka Hiyoshi has been cut.
Hiyoshi swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Wasa counters with a crisp one two that drops Hiyoshi! Wasa thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hiyoshi to his feet! Hiyoshi is in big trouble!
Hiyoshi is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hiyoshi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Wasa gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hiyoshi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edvin Wasa!
