Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Cow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cow comes to the cage accompanied by Samurai tune. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Cow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pontes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cow.
Pontes closes the distance and clinches up with Cow, looking for a takedown. Pontes pushes Cow against the cage but Cow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pontes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pontes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Cow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pontes throws out the jab.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pontes sprawls well. Pontes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cow gets slowly back to his feet.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pontes checks a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Pontes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cow defends it well.
Cow won't allow Pontes to pass to mount.

Pontes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pontes connects with a nice short shot to Cow's temple.

Cow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pontes pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pontes winds up and cracks Cow with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pontes is trying to control. Cow wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Cow tries to roll over but Pontes keeps him under control.
Pontes is nestled in close to Cow, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pontes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
