The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madden thuds a left hand into Balentic's body.
Balentic misses with a head kick.
Balentic swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Madden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Madden.
Balentic tries to break the clinch but Madden is controlling the position.
Balentic tries to circle away but Madden has him pinned against the cage.
Balentic wants to get back to striking at distance but Madden won't allow it.

Balentic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Balentic gets tackled into the cage by Madden. Madden maintains the clinch.

Balentic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Balentic.

Madden fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Balentic on the side of the head.

It looks like Matija Balentic has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Madden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Madden showed some decent athleticism there.
Balentic pushes Madden off looking to stand but Madden dives back in and keeps control.
Madden lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Madden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balentic on the ground.

Madden is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Balentic is hurt! He's hurt bad - Madden fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Balentic from any more punishment! Congratulations to Madden! Great finish!
