Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Werner Klemperer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klemperer comes to the cage accompanied by Hogan's Heroes. Sanderson has chosen Pantera - This Love as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Werner Klemperer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Sanderson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Sanderson.
Klemperer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sanderson can pounce on him.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sanderson.
Klemperer misses with a left hand
enabling Sanderson to counter with a crisp jab.

so Klemperer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanderson is on top in guard.

Klemperer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sanderson defends it easily.
Klemperer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Klemperer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanderson defends well.
Klemperer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Klemperer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanderson!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanderson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klemperer has control of Sanderson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sanderson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Klemperer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Klemperer wants to finish this one by submission but Sanderson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Klemperer.
Sanderson is bucking up trying to escape but Klemperer cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klemperer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Klemperer wants to control the pace but Sanderson is squirming around nicely.

Klemperer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sanderson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Klemperer tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Klemperer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sanderson some visible discomfort.
Sanderson is looking for a sweep.
Klemperer tries to move to mount but Sanderson blocks the move with his legs.
Sanderson can't do much from the bottom here.
Sanderson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sanderson wants to get back to full guard.
Klemperer wants to control but Sanderson is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Klemperer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Klemperer is trying to control the action in half guard but Sanderson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Klemperer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanderson is looking to reverse the position.
Klemperer tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Klemperer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sanderson down.
Klemperer is looking to take a break and control but Sanderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Klemperer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Sanderson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sanderson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Klemperer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Klemperer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sanderson down.

Klemperer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Klemperer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sanderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Klemperer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sanderson is just riding it out for now. Klemperer eventually gives up the hold.

Klemperer is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sanderson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sanderson!

Klemperer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sanderson doesn't defend quickly enough and Klemperer has managed to lock this one up! Can Sanderson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Klemperer on a fantastic submission victory.
