Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Perro Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zak Simmons!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simmons looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Simmons's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Simmons really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Simmons postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simmons working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Loco's head.
Simmons postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Simmons chips away with some ground and pound.

Loco has his foot on Simmons's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Simmons works his way back into a safe position though.
Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Loco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Loco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Loco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Loco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Simmons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Simmons lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Simmons must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Simmons's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Loco pushes a forearm under Simmons's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Simmons is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
