The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Munoz counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Barrera shoots in and bounces Munoz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barrera is working for a kimura but Munoz is defending it quite comfortably.

Munoz tries to kick Barrera off but Barrera keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Barrera has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Barrera is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Munoz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Munoz shrugs it off.

Barrera looking to secure an arm triangle but Munoz defends it well.
