Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kronos Gianpopolos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gianpopolos comes to the cage accompanied by Pit Bull- Dammit Man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Plant's choice of entrance music: Au innebunit salcamii. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gianpopolos tries to avoid it but Plant manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gianpopolos to the ground. Gianpopolos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Plant has a takedown stuffed.
Gianpopolos tries to score with a low kick but Plant moves his leg out of the way.
Plant closes the distance and clinches up with Gianpopolos, looking for a takedown. Plant pushes Gianpopolos against the cage but Gianpopolos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kronos Gianpopolos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Plant.
Gianpopolos throws a front kick aimed at Plant's knee but Plant avoids it well.

Plant fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gianpopolos, pushing him back against the cage.

It looks like Kronos Gianpopolos has been cut.
Gianpopolos is trying to break the clinch but Plant is controlling him.
Plant tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gianpopolos smiles and moves away.
Gianpopolos finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gianpopolos is breathing heavily.
Plant misses with a body shot.
Plant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gianpopolos's waist but Gianpopolos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Plant off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gianpopolos is in trouble now - Plant has advanced to mount!
Plant has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Plant lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Plant breaks from Gianpopolos's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Plant has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gianpopolos's face.
Plant connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Plant misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
