Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ian McIanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zlychiy Bobryk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ian McIanson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zlychiy Bobryk!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobryk misses with a takedown

and McIanson counters by clinching up.
Bobryk jumps guard but McIanson stands there with Bobryk around his waist. Bobryk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McIanson has picked Bobryk up - he's going for a ride! McIanson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
McIanson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bobryk trying to hold on to McIanson's head to control him but McIanson postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bobryk looking for submissions off his back.

McIanson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bobryk regains full guard. Nicely done.
McIanson forces his way into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bobryk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McIanson pulls his head out easily.

McIanson misses with the ground and pound.
Bobryk tries to control but McIanson manages to take his back.
McIanson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bobryk on the ground.
Bobryk turns into McIanson and is now in his guard.
McIanson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bobryk drops back looking for a leg! McIanson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McIanson manages to kick Bobryk off! Bobryk jumps back into McIanson's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bobryk has gone for a leg lock! McIanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bobryk's guard.

Bobryk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McIanson looking to sit in guard and control but Bobryk gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

McIanson trying to control the position but Bobryk is working away.
McIanson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ian McIanson wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Bobryk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Bobryk is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McIanson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bobryk goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McIanson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bobryk but great work by McIanson.

Bobryk is trying to control McIanson's posture but McIanson avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

McIanson tries to score with some ground and pound. Bobryk controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Bobryk is looking for a sweep.
The referee asks McIanson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. McIanson prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bobryk takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bobryk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so McIanson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

McIanson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Bobryk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McIanson is aware though and is defending well.

Bobryk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

McIanson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bobryk has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McIanson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bobryk.
McIanson wants to control but Bobryk is keeping him busy.

McIanson controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bobryk is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ian McIanson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bobryk doesn't succeed with the takedown

and McIanson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ian McIanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zlychiy Bobryk.
Bobryk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McIanson smiles and moves away.

McIanson shoots in and gets a takedown into Bobryk's guard.

Bobryk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McIanson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bobryk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McIanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McIanson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well McIanson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
