Bubbles is working an open guard so Thornton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Bubbles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thornton thinking.
Thornton is breathing heavily.
Thornton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bubbles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thornton somewhat.
Bubbles swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thornton.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bubbles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Joseph Thornton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bubbles might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
