Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ade Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Pepe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ade Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Pepe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Winner drives through with a takedown into guard.
Winner trying to control but Pepe is working from the bottom.
Winner prevents Pepe from getting back to his feet.
Pepe looking to control.
Pepe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Winner controls the pace.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pepe wants to stand and escape but Winner is having none of it.
Winner scoring with punches to the head and body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pepe manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mario Pepe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pepe clinches up with Winner and pushes him back against the cage.
Winner has Pepe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pepe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Winner goes for a takedown attempt but Pepe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pepe looks to score with a jab to the body but Winner is just out of range.

Pepe thows a leg kick but Winner checks it

and Winner counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Winner stands up over Pepe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Winner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pepe is keeping the position for now.
Winner cracks Pepe with a solid left hand.
Winner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Winner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Winner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Winner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Pepe pushes Winner off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Pepe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Winner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pepe clinches with his opponent.
Pepe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Pepe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Winner.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ade Winner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pepe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pepe.
The ground and pound from Pepe seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pepe is staying tight to Winner's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Winner is trying to improve his position.
Pepe lands a nice forearm strike.

Pepe decides to stand back up. Pepe steps back and let's Winner get back to his feet.

Pepe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Winner takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pepe is landing with some decent strikes but Winner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Winner is trying to escape the mount.

A right-left combo lands from Pepe.
Pepe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Winner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Winner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pepe tries to avoid it but Winner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pepe to the ground. Pepe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Winner throws a right hand that Pepe ducks under and follows up with a left that Pepe also avoids with ease.
Winner misses with a takedown attempt - Pepe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pepe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Pepe has Winner up against the cage in a clinch.
Pepe wants to break the clinch but can't.
Winner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Winner turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Winner looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pepe is avoiding damage well.
Pepe is trying to buck Winner off.
Ade Winner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pepe dodges the ground and pound from Winner.
The ground and pound from Winner seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pepe wants to get back to his feet.

Pepe bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Winner slaps away a takedown attempt from Pepe, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pepe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ade Winner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Winner drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pepe pulls his leg out and moves away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Winner.
Pepe is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Pepe pushes Winner away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Winner gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Winner decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pepe to his feet.

Winner looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Pepe wriggles free and stands up.
Pepe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Pepe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pepe doesn't manage to clinch there - Winner circles away.

Pepe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pepe content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Winner wants to get back to striking at distance but Pepe won't allow it.

Pepe lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Winner has one foot on Pepe's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pepe wants to clinch but Winner slips to the side
and Winner counters with a left and a right that stings Pepe.

Winner gets a double leg takedown into Pepe's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Winner wants to pass the guard but Pepe is keeping the position.
Winner is working hard here to advance position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pepe is on top in guard.

Pepe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pepe throws out a powerful jab.
Pepe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Winner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pepe is trying to break the clinch but Winner is controlling him.
Winner gets underhooks to prevent Pepe's takedown attempt.

Pepe is pressed up against the cage. Winner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pepe down to the mat. Pepe avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Winner drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Winner prevents Pepe from breaking the clinch.

Pepe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pepe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Winner as he jumps to the side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pepe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Winner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pepe is in Winner's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pepe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pepe stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Nice takedown defense from Winner. No joy for Pepe on that attempt.

Winner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pepe pushes Winner off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pepe leaves Winner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Winner fails in his attempt to clinch.

I think Pepe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
