The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjurstrom tries to clinch up.
Holyfield tries a head kick but it misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bjurstrom had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Holyfield is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bjurstrom Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Holyfield's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holyfield is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Some bone on bone action there as Bjurstrom checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A nice leg kick lands there from Holyfield.
Marco Bjurstrom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Bjurstrom or perhaps it was just good defense by Holyfield which made him look bad.
