PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alto Eloos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor McDropkick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor McDropkick told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eloos shoots in and bounces McDropkick off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDropkick is looking to stand up but Eloos isn't so interested in that idea.

Eloos drops back, looking for a kneebar! McDropkick looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McDropkick looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McDropkick!

Eloos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fight stays on the outside here - McDropkick looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Eloos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McDropkick, pushing him back against the cage.
McDropkick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Eloos blocks it with crossed arms.

Eloos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McDropkick manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Eloos has McDropkick in his guard.

Eloos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McDropkick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Eloos has his foot on McDropkick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McDropkick works his way back into a safe position though.

Eloos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDropkick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Eloos has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McDropkick should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Eloos has tightened it up now! McDropkick should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
