Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Slayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Desmond Grey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Desmond Grey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Slayton misses
and Grey counters by moving into the clinch.
Slayton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grey lands a body shot.
Grey stalls.
Grey doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Grey gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slayton tries to roll over but Grey keeps him under control.
Grey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Slayton's head.
Grey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Slayton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Grey is trying to control the action in half guard but Slayton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Grey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Slayton avoids a series of strikes thrown by Grey.
Grey raining down shots from the mount!
Grey throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Slayton because Grey loaded up on that one.
Grey looking to finish Slayton with some ground and pound. This is bad for Slayton!
Grey landing strikes, looking to finish!
Slayton is rocked!
Grey is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Slayton is still in real trouble! Can Grey finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grey cracks Slayton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Grey drops a big elbow. That's hurt Slayton! More shots from Grey and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Desmond Grey!
