Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Cifer Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Haapasalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haapasalo has chosen Korpiklaani - Let's Drink as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cifer Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cifer Jr. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Cifer Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Haapasalo wants to slow Cifer Jr down by chopping away at his legs.

Haapasalo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cifer Jr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cifer Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haapasalo keeps working.
Haapasalo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Haapasalo is controlling Cifer Jr's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Haapasalo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cifer Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cifer Jr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cifer Jr wants to control from the top but Haapasalo keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cifer Jr looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
