Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac nothing to lose. Mac has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Darius Ellis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Justin Mac's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Mac! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ellis tries to keep at a distance but Mac has taken the fight into the clinch. Mac escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ellis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Justin Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ellis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mac looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ellis happy to just control the position for now. Ellis is breathing heavily. Ellis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mac has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ellis but great work by Mac. Ellis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mac is controlling him well. You can see the frustration on Ellis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mac decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mac misses with the combination.
Ellis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ellis stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis is keen to just control but Mac is a slippery customer. Ellis is taking a breather. Mac says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ellis lands with a punch from half guard. Ellis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mac looks like he's trying to stand up.

Mac is looking to stand up but Ellis isn't so interested in that idea. Mac can't keep his opponent in guard - Ellis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mac tries to kick Ellis off but Ellis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ellis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darius Ellis will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mac is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ellis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mac as he avoids it easily. Mac is still on wobbly legs! Can Ellis finish him? Mac throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Mac will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darius Ellis. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ellis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
