Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dyne Yevon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yevon has chosen Ayreon - Age of Shadows as his entrance music. Helio Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gracie trying to control from Yevon's half guard. Yevon has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Gracie thows a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gracie slips nicely into half guard.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Yevon is defending well.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Yevon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yevon.

Gracie unloads with some shots from mount but Yevon bucks and avoids them well.

Yevon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Gracie goes for an armbar but Yevon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Yevon.
Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yevon is one step ahead there.

Gracie throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Yevon escapes and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Yevon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Yevon prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Yevon wants to free his trapped foot but Gracie is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Yevon passes to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yevon misses with a looping right.
Yevon scores with a sloppy right hand. Gracie should have avoided that one.

and Yevon counters with a crisp one two that drops Gracie! Yevon thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gracie to his feet! Gracie is in big trouble!

Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Yevon has wrist control.

Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yevon's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Yevon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yevon wants to get back to full guard.
Gracie is keen to just control but Yevon is a slippery customer.
Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Gracie works to advance to full mount. Yevon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Yevon is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Yevon has worked his arm free - good work by Yevon!

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yevon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gracie passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Yevon!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Helio Gracie will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Gracie throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Helio Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie has his takedown stuffed
and Yevon counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Gracie is nestled in close to Yevon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gracie is looking to advance position but Yevon won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gracie lands a nice short elbow.
Yevon avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie.
Helio Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie is trying to control. Yevon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Yevon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yevon's head.
Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yevon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gracie is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Yevon can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Yevon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dyne Yevon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Helio Gracie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Gracie lands a big shot there that rocks Yevon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Yevon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
