Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Reem Overeem!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Foster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Overeem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Foster is standing up over Overeem. Overeem looks to escape but Foster dives into side control.
Foster is looking to take a break and control but Overeem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Foster staying calm.
Overeem is not content to let Foster control the position.

Foster moves into full mount!
Foster tries to control but Overeem wriggling away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Foster throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Foster tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Foster looking to control but Overeem is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Foster throwing strikes here but Overeem is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Overeem wants to control but Foster is having none of it.

Overeem looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Tyler Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reem Overeem.

Foster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Foster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Foster is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Foster breaks the clinch.
Overeem avoids the head kick by Foster.

Foster swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Overeem is now in Foster's guard. A big mistake from Foster there, giving up the dominant position!
Overeem keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Foster's head.

Overeem throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Foster counters with a shoot takedown. Overeem fights it but they end up in guard.

Foster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Foster drives through with a takedown into Overeem's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Foster stands and throws Overeem's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Overeem is not content to let Foster control the position.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Foster here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
A lull in the action here as Foster stalls from top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Foster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Overeem is trying to buck Foster off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Foster cracks Overeem with a solid left hand.
Overeem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Foster lands a couple of decent looking shots.

We're going to have a standup here because Tyler Foster wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Foster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Foster passes the guard and advances to mount!
Foster trying to control but Overeem is having none of it.

Overeem taking shots to the head.

Foster is working for a guillotine from mount but Overeem frees his head quite easily.
Foster punishing his opponent with strikes.

Foster is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Overeem is surviving well by controlling Foster's body position as best he can.

Foster is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Overeem to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Overeem shrugs it off.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Foster stands up from mount. Strange move.

Foster has managed to clinch.

Foster gets control of Overeem's arms and successfully pulls guard. Foster will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Foster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Reem Overeem has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyler Foster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Overeem trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
