The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mazged gets full guard.

Walkeris looking to pass into half guard but Mazged pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mazged is in guard.
Mazged wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Mazged scoring with some ground and pound.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mazged can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mazged gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mazged has gone for a leg lock! Walker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mazged's guard.

Mazged manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Walker manages to get himself to full guard.

Walker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mazged defends well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jon E Walker.

Mazged is bucking up trying to escape but Walker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker breaks from Mazged's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Mazged wants to control but Walker is having none of it.
Walker is landing with some decent strikes but Mazged is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
