The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emperor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Gerald Young has been cut.
Young throws a head kick but Emperor moves out of range.
Emperor lands with a kick to the ribs.
Emperor moves in looking to clinch but Young pushes him off.
Young tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Emperor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Young.
Emperor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Emperor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Emperor tries to close the distance and clinch but Young swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Emperor throws a leg kick which misses Young's front leg but catches the back leg as Young tries to avoid it.
Emperor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Young manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Young pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Emperor tries to clinch but Young is having none of it.
Young takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Young looks gassed!
A solid leg kick lands there for Emperor.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Young swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Emperor goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Emperor scores with a hook to the body. Young takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Young gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emperor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Young has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Emperor gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Emperor lands a damaging elbow.
Emperor lands an elbow that stopped Young in his tracks for a moment.
Young's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Emperor obliges.
Emperor lands an uppercut.
A short uppercut from Emperor.

Young is rocked!
Emperor lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Young is still on wobbly legs! Can Emperor finish him?
Emperor lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Emperor working Young over with knees to the body.
Emperor crunches a lovely knee into Young's ribcage.
Emperor unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Young! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Emperor is unloading with more strikes now! Young drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
