Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naza kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen. Bean comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Raising Hell kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 2, fighting out of London, Gio Naza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Bean!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naza takes one to the chin there.
Bean's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bean duly obliges.


It looks like Gio Naza has been cut.
Crunch! Bean slams his shin into Naza's torso.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Some wild striking there from Bean.
Bean throws a head kick that misses.
Bean catches Naza with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Naza feints and as Bean raises his hands in defense, Naza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Naza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bean pulls Naza in close to prevent any damage.
Bean avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Naza not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Naza is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Naza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bean is keeping the position for now.
Naza is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bean is looking to stand up but Naza isn't so interested in that idea.

Bean pushes Naza off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Naza takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Naza throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bean works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Bean stuffs the takedown attempt from Naza. Naza gets slowly back to his feet.

Naza is looking to take a break and control but Bean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bean is not content to let Naza control the position.
Naza prevents Bean from improving his position.

Naza manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Naza avoids the body shot from Bean.
Bean looks to land a combination but Naza avoids it well.
Naza slips a jab and a cross from Bean.
Naza avoids the head kick by Bean.
Bean shoots in but no luck this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Naza throws an overhand right that lands on Bean's shoulder, as Bean tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Bean throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Naza throws a solid leg kick but Bean takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Naza.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ron Bean will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Bean lands with a hook. Naza tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Bean looks to land a combination but Naza avoids it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Naza.
Bean displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Naza throws out the jab.
Bean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Naza circles away quickly and effectively.
Ron Bean is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Naza slips a jab and a cross from Bean.
Ron Bean seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Naza tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bean is able to avoid easily.
Naza finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bean uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Naza.
Naza misses with a looping right.
Bean misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bean connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Naza's hands.
Gio Naza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A telegraphed right hand from Naza misses the target.
Naza waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bean.
Naza blocks a head kick by Bean.
Naza shoots in but Bean avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gio Naza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bean misses with a head kick.

Naza manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bean on his heels. He'll look to pass Bean's guard now, I'm sure.
Naza stands and throws Bean's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Ron Bean.
I've got Bean winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
