Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Who - Baba O'Riley. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Meyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Davis!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Meyer on the side of the head.
Davis tries a head kick but it misses.
Davis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Meyer counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Davis wants to get back to full guard.
Meyer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Davis controlling the position for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Meyer looks to land a strike but Davis avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davis is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Meyer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Davis throws a hook but Meyer avoids it easily.
Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meyer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Meyer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davis won't be happy with that.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
