PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramsey Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shakki Matti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shakki Matti!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood tries to clinch up.
Matti connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wood. Wood circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wood tries to clinch but Matti is having none of it.
Wood is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matti's waist but Matti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wood off to one side.
Matti throws a sloppy body shot

and Wood counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wood.
Wood will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wood stays in close to Matti's body and controls the position.
Matti preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Matti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Matti wants to hit a switch here but Wood passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Matti there!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wood postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Matti looks a forlorn figure.
Wood pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Matti is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Wood locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Matti is forced to tap!
