Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jayk Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jiu Jitsu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jayk Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taylor lands in his opponent's guard.
Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taylor stopping the sweep attempt from Jitsu.
Taylor tries to stand but Jitsu is controlling from the bottom.
Jitsu wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jitsu is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jitsu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Taylor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Taylor feints and as Jitsu raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jitsu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Taylor manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jitsu tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard.
Taylor looking for a sweep. Not yet Taylor, not yet.
Jitsu passes into half guard.

Jitsu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taylor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jitsu.
Jitsu wants to control but Taylor is keeping him busy.
Jitsu prevents Taylor from improving his position.
Jitsu trying to pass the guard but Taylor defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor tries to get to full guard but Jitsu has control of the leg.
Jitsu tries to pass to full mount but Taylor defends it.
Taylor is concentrating on defense, preventing Jitsu from advancing position.
Jitsu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Taylor knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jitsu seems to be working for a kimura but Taylor defends the submission attempt.
Taylor is refusing to be controlled, as Jitsu sits in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jitsu wants to pass the guard but Taylor is defending well.
Jitsu is keen to just control but Taylor is a slippery customer.
Taylor is in trouble now - Jitsu has advanced to mount!

Jitsu jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Taylor is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Taylor and Jitsu has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Taylor stops Jitsu from passing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Taylor wants to control but Jitsu postures up.
Taylor is not content to let Jitsu control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jayk Taylor dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Taylor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Taylor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Taylor looking for a guillotine from mount but Jitsu is having none of it.
Jitsu is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jitsu tries to hold on but Taylor postures up.
Jitsu is desperately trying to improve his position but Taylor has a good base and remains in mount.
Taylor wants to control but Jitsu has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Taylor trying to control from half guard but Jitsu is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jitsu controlling the position well.
Jitsu trying to hold on to Taylor's head to control him but Taylor postures up.
Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jitsu keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Jitsu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taylor is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor is controlling the pace.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Taylor scores a takedown into full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Taylor throwing strikes here but Jitsu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jitsu tries to hold on but Taylor pushes him away.
Taylor landing strikes, looking to finish!
Jitsu keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Taylor throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jitsu because Taylor loaded up on that one.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Taylor is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jitsu is surviving well by controlling Taylor's body position as best he can.

Taylor goes for an armbar but Jitsu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jitsu.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jayk Taylor dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Taylor tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jitsu controls his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jitsu is refusing to be controlled, as Taylor sits in half guard.
Jitsu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jitsu is in trouble now - Taylor has advanced to mount!
Jitsu is trying desperately to improve position.
Taylor trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Taylor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jitsu can't escape the position.
Taylor looking to ground and pound but Jitsu is blocking nicely.
Jitsu is squirming around, avoiding Taylor's attempts to control the action.

Taylor stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Taylor drives through with a takedown into Jitsu's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Taylor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jitsu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jitsu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jitsu!
Taylor is not content to let Jitsu control the position.
Jitsu moves into full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jayk Taylor showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Taylor has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
