Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by all the lights. Sabota comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Its Going Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Peter Sabota has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rampage Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Sabota!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabota scores with a head kick. Jackson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Sabota looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jackson wants to control but Sabota is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sabota thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jackson to regain full guard.
Jackson trying to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sabota throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely.
Sabota pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.
Sabota postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sabota must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rampage Jackson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Jackson tries to clinch up

and Sabota counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sabota connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple.
Jackson has hold of Sabota's hands but Sabota slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Sabota has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sabota is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Sabota really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sabota postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.


Jackson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sabota lands a big shot to the head and Jackson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Peter Sabota!
