Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramsey Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Monsterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kalle Monsterson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood throws a right and a left that Monsterson avoids nicely.

Monsterson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Monsterson.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Monsterson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Monsterson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wood gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Monsterson is trying to trip Wood. He has hold of a leg but Wood is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Monsterson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Monsterson wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving.

Monsterson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wood is just riding it out for now. Monsterson eventually gives up the hold.

Wood will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wood connects with a stiff jab that staggers Monsterson - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
