Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Payette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dj Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen WALK BY PANTERA as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andre Payette!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dj Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donk. Sanchez catches Payette right on the button with a cross.

Sanchez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Payette ducks right into an uppercut from Sanchez.

Sanchez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Payette swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sanchez.


It looks like Dj Sanchez has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Payette swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sanchez shoots and misses
and Payette counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Payette takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Payette, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Payette against the cage but Payette circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sanchez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Payette lands a stunning uppercut that sends Sanchez to the mat!
Payette moves into full mount! Sanchez won't be happy about that!
Payette trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Payette is really struggling to control Sanchez but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Payette controlling the position easily from mount.

Payette has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Andre Payette has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sanchez scores with a head kick. Payette tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Payette misses with a looping right.

Sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into Payette's guard.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Payette gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sanchez is trying to control the position but Payette postures up.

Payette drops his hands momentarily and Sanchez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Payette swings for the body but Sanchez moves out of range.

Payette waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a two punch combination.
Payette walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Sanchez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Payette cracks Sanchez with an open hand slap.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Payette shows good takedown defense.
Andre Payette has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dj Sanchez.
Payette is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanchez.
Sanchez lands a really nice looking cross but Payette seems unphased.
Sanchez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Payette swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dj Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez works over Payette's head and body with a nice combination.
Payette looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Sanchez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Payette is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.

Sanchez has his foot on Payette's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Payette works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Payette defends it easily.

Dj Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Payette displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.

Payette is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Sanchez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Payette doesn't seem bothered though.

and Sanchez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Payette circles away from the clinch attempt
and Payette counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Payette swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sanchez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Payette. Payette circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Payette takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Payette is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sanchez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sanchez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Payette is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.

Sanchez wants to control but Payette is keeping him busy.

Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Payette defends it well.

Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
